Dusk settles over La Grosse Rock, Pleinmont on a beautifully calm and still summer sunset in Guernsey. In the distance Hanois lighthouse stands proud, already lit for the night ahead.
 
I love this view - it's on a par with the best the island can offer. From the depths of winter, with huge crashing waves, to blissfully still evenings like this in the middle of the summer. It offers so much variety. With the ever present Hanois lighthouse in the distance as well, it's never void of drama and intrigue.
